IN THE AUTUMN OF MY YEARS:

Poetry for all to read, as seen on the Amazon.com website.

SAMPLE POEM:

TODAY

What fools we are

Thinking of the

Future.

There is no future

Only the

Moment.

If we could only live

For the moment

How different our lives

Would be.

No worry

No planning

No disappointment

No end...

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Richard Schotts In 1951 Robert P. Tristam Coffin awarded Richard Schotts "first prize" in an upstate New York poetry contest. Today after many years of taking pen to hand Richard has published this book filled with grand yet powerfully inspiring poems.

ABOUT THIS BOOK:

I have never sat down intentionally, to write a poem said Richard. They have come about because of something that has moved me: something I've seen, something that I was thinking seriously about, or thoughts of life and my place in it, that I had no other way of expressing in normal fashion. These thoughts would smolder within until like a volcano they surfaced, erupted, and the poem began moving to the natural conclusion for the idea that caused its eruption. Some are serious some are light.
